The creation of porcelain figurines dates back to as early as the 16th century when hard porcelain was invented in Germany. By late 16th century, these items became premiere style for gala banquet table ornaments on most European courts and mansions. People came to love these creations and were sought after by those of the upper class.

Years passed and the manufacture of porcelain figurines was slowly polished. A number of talented artists put attention to the creation of these items. By early 18th century, high quality well-crafted porcelain figurines were considered as a piece of Art.

The styles became monotonous for a while until Llardo company came into play around 1950s. The new designs and unique quality which they offered in the market were a breath of fresh air for the industry.

At present, porcelain figurines have become a favorite among collectible figures. The rarest of its kind identifies status quo and good taste. They also serve as wonderful gifts for all types of occassions.
