Listening to my teenage girls and their friends talk about music and their favorite artist made me laugh. Teenagers can be so silly. These are the moments that are so special. The chatter is playful and silly. They were talking about iPods. Each girl was taking turns downloaded the songs from American Idol from the computer. I came in and asked, “how do I ipod?” They broke into song, you pod, ipod we all pod. Download, listen, we all sing pod.” Mom,”you should know what we are doing is Ipodding.” My daughter began to explain that they were to be putting on a talent show next week. All of her friends were downloading the songs they planned to sing so they could all practice. We can listen to the songs all day through our headphones and then it will be easy to remember next week. We can listen on the bus, while walking around, and anything place except in class. You could say we are IPodding. I asked them how much it costs to download the songs from the computer to the IPod. My daughter explained there are many sites that you can download for free if you have a coupon from special sites. I left the room saying, “Keep on Ipodding girls”.
