When it was time for me to renew my passport I knew that it would take some time. I had changed my residence address but had not got it changed in my passport. I knew that when the time would come for my passport to be renewed the authorities would ask for proof of my new residence therefore I had kept all the necessary documents ready with me. When the time arrived for me to renew my passport I went to the passport office and filled in the application from. I provided all details regarding my passport address change and attached the necessary supporting documents. When the passport officer when through my application he said I would not face any problem in getting my passport renewed because I had all the necessary documents. He told me many passport renewal applications got stuck because they could not provide proof that they had shifted from their old residence to a new one. He informed me that I would receive my new passport in a couple of days and asked me to check the status online.
