Our wedding is just about six months away. All of the major planning is completed and we are just trying to wrap up some of the little details. The one thing that we are struggling with is coming up with wedding songs. Our taste in music varies greatly; he is into death metal and I am a country girl. They Should Have Given out Tissues As Wedding Favors!

I just went to a good friend’s wedding. The best man gave the most amazing wedding speech I’ve ever seen. He had known the groom his entire life, they had grown up on the same street. He told several stories about different things they did as boys. Most of the stories were funny, probably even funnier for the people that knew them growing up. The stories also showed what a great friend the groom is. As the stories progressed, he finally got to the story of the first time the groom laid eyes on the bride. He said he just knew that his best friend had found the perfect person to complete him. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house. My wife barely knows the groom, and she was crying! It was touching and uplifting at the same time. I’ll be thrilled if I ever give a speech half as good as this one!

I’m going to be getting married in about two months. I have been incredibly busy over the last year making plans for the wedding. Luckily, I have some help from my mom and sister. I can’t believe it’s been five months since Patrick proposed to me. I was on cloud nine that day and I still feel this sense of joy all the time, we’re so in love.
